Plans for online poker by Nevada

To generate interest and players, a free-to-play site is going to be rolled out by ACEP Interactive

ACEP Interactive, one of the latest in Nevada applicants for an online poker license, unveiled its aims to make an entry into an intrastate legalized online poker market at the recent hearing of the Nevada Gaming Control Board. It in turn recommended to the Nevada Gaming Commission the company.

ACEP Interactive, an American Casino and Entertainment Properties subsidiary, owning in Southern Nevada four land casino properties, made plans to begin with a business free-to-play model in order to extend brand awareness and generate players.

On a suitable technology partner for software, appeared from the submissions of the company, that it has not decided yet.

At the hearing, representatives from the company announced that the last 18 months have been spent by the firm on market study and the generation of plans for the, on the commercial point of view, best way forward, with a major consideration given to the building of traffic to land properties.

To real money action will the company efforts be turned depending on the success of the free play venture.

WMS Industries and ACEP Interactive both proved successful in winning the recommendations of the board that a license should be granted to them by the Gaming Commission of Nevada, which will in turn enable them to became part of the growing number of companies, including South Point Poker LLC, Monarch Interactive, IGT, Shuffle Master and Bally Technologies.
