iPoker network banns the super affiliate Muchos Poker
There are no clear reasons for the ban as of now, but indications are that a security investigation is underway
A ban by iPoker Network of Playtech on super affiliate Muchos Poker is currently being reported by a number of online information websites.
Although there are no clear reasons for the ban at present as there is no clear statement from iPoker related to it, there is a security investigation going on at the moment and speculations have been raised that the ban may be in connection with issues concerning player-to-player funds transfer.
Poker Update, one site for poker information, published the banning notice's content of iPoker to its skins on Friday. It indicates that all activities of Muchos Poker are now subjected to ban on the network of iPoker.
As announced by the notification:
"All activities of Muchos poker are now officially banned on the network of ipoker. For now on all card rooms will be required to deny access to any new Muchos Poker players. A ban will be instituted on all existing accounts, and if there are funds present in them, they can be withdrawn from the account holders after normal checks are done related to account verification, fraud and collusion."
It has also been advised by the Poker Update website that the LGA regulator of Malta has had recent dealings with complaints of players in regard to Muchos Poker.
The business model of Muchos Poker is based on the facilitations of players across an array of networks under one account.
The Pokerfuse information site reports that Muchos takes a conciliatory stance. It quoted the affiliate's statement that confirms its desire to offer assistance to iPoker in their investigations to the best of its abilities in order to try to discover a solution that is acceptable for both parties so that Muchos Poker can continue its normal operations and bring in new players to the excited game of poker."
Meanwhile Muchos has halted all its iPoker accounts transfers.
From the imposing of this ban Muchos stands to lose a great deal. On the network of iPoker, the company stands as an affiliate to four major rooms for online poker: poker 770, William Hill, Winner Poker and dafabet Poker. Additionally, it operates three more rooms on the networks of Revolution Gaming and Enet as well as on Instadeal.
Muchos also promotes other poker companies like Ongame, 888 and the International Poker Network of Boss Media.
As stated by Pokerfuse, the claim of Muchos is that it cannot be blamed. Its comment is as follows: "From our point of view, we trust that we have not done anything wrong and we have followed all regulations and network rules and have performed all KYC checks that were necessary on all players and our intention is to continue doing so."
