Electrotank is to be acquired by High 5 Games
The merge of the two companies will allow for real-time streaming of content to regulated social casino and real-money gaming sites
The based in New York software developer for the online, land-based, mobile and social markets, has announced a positive outcome of the deal for the acquisition of high-performance mobile and online technology company Electrotank for a consideration that remains undisclosed.
"Through this move, High 5 Games will be allowed to create a stronger games server platform and finalize it. It will allow for real-time content streaming to both regulated sites for real-money gaming, as well to sites for social casino all over the world," said the High 5 Games CEO Anthony Singer. He also said that the staff of Elecrotank will go over to High 5.
Singer further revealed that the companies have worked closely together in the past to move some famous terrestrial slot games to the gaming platform of Facebook.
The Electrotank's CEO Michael Gold said: "For Electrotank this represents a great opportunity. In producing highly successful gaming content the history of High 5 Games is a long one. It excites me to be able to see what could be accomplished by the two companies brought together."
During its history Electrotank has licensed its platform and server technology to great many companies. It has also developed games for a range of well-known customers, such as MTV, Disney, Mattel, Nickelodeon, and Comedy Central. The gaming server of the company is highly scalable and it is respected for it. It allows for concurrent play by quite a lot of players and is also the appropriate choice for Unity 3, Flash, Android, iPhone, HTML5 and XNA. This could present High 5 with an access to a larger base of users.
On Facebook High 5 Casino is among those social casinos with the highest rating. It has a monthly active user base of 1.3 million and some 430,000 active daily users, presenting mobile sector opportunities.
