Chief operation officer appointed at GigaMedia
An experienced veteran from the gaming industry is tasked to increase growth
Ronald Ho has been appointed by GigaMedia as its Fun Town online games business chief operating officer.
He is to join the team as part of the strategic repositioning initiative of the firm focused on introducing self-developed mobile and casual browser games to the online gaming platform of Fun Town.
Ho comes to GigaMedia from the listed in Taiwan online games supplier Gamania China Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd., which conducts operations across Greater China. During his Gamania career spanning over 13 years, Ho proved successful in increasing growth and being able to hold a range of positions. Lately, he served as Chine operations' chief operating officer and led the China market execution and strategy of Gamania, including web and browser games internal development.
GigaMedia expects its own mobile and browser games to be introduced to the public during the second half of 2026. It will include reformatted versions of a number of existing PC-based casual games of GigaMedia.
